EC Deputy Chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said that the Election Commission [EC] had a meeting with the Federation of the precipitate and Fair Elections [Clean] November last year to discuss any issues arising in connection with the electoral system in Malaysia.

At the first meeting, Datuk Ambiga accompanied by several members of the Net have been present has brought 17 proposals to be discussed.

The EC has never closed the door to negotiations with the Net fo

r the purpose of improving the implementation of democracy in this country.

Datuk Wan Ahmad said, with members Ambiga Net has given its views on the implementation of elections in the country.

"They provide advice based on their background, and I admit some of their proposals can not be done overnight because it involves the provision of the Constitution. But there were also suggestions that we consider," he said.

At the end of the meeting, he said, Ambiga and his colleagues are satisfied almost four-hour discussion at the EC headquarters in Putrajaya .....
